Lansing Daze April 30 - May 1, 2010

April 30 will mark the arrival of barbeque contestants, with the main competition and judging held the following day.  This Kansas City Barbeque Society-sanctioned event includes four categories under which the contestants are judged as well as the popular People’s Choice category.  Beginning Friday evening and continuing on Saturday, area Blues bands take the stage.  Blues bands including Trampled Under Foot, Lonesome Hank and the Heartaches, and the Scotty Boy Daniels Band have performed in the past. 

The Lansing DAZE Festival features a fun day of family activities, children’s inflatable rides, entertainment (balloon artists, face painting, magicians, and a petting zoo) crafts, and great food.  The DAZE Festival ends with a dance and a grand fireworks display set to music.
