Overview
Rebecca Savidge is the Building Inspector II for the city. She is responsible for enforcement of the codes and ordinances pertaining to building and construction, health and welfare, and zoning.

Building permits are required for:

New construction Major home improvements Additions Fences Accessory buildings Pools / Hot tubs

Electrical, mechanical and plumbing work Pergolas Decks / Porches Roofs Siding / Windows / Doors

Site and construction plans are required for review when applying for an application. Applications are reviewed by the Building Inspector for approval.

The department issues an average of 375 permits per year. Inspections are required and performed as work is completed. Electrical, plumbing, and mechanical trade licenses are required and issued for those doing work in the city.
